What is your vaccination policy?
All dogs must be up to date on their vaccinations. First puppy grooming should be between 12-16 weeks after the second set of shots.
What is your vaccination policy?
Each skin cell on a dog has a lifespan of about 21 days (three weeks) That means every 3 weeks every skin cell on your dog is replaced by a new one! Lots of those skin cells falloff your dog but depending on coat type many get trapped and stay next to the skin which can cause itchiness, irritation & odor. Depending on the density of your dogs coat we recommend a bath and blow out every 4-6 weeks to remove those trapped skin cells before they cause problems. As an added bonus frequent grooming reduces shedding and prevents matting from forming. I use high quality products that are nourishing to the dog’s skin.
What is your vaccination policy?
I believe in a “dog first” grooming, that means that no matter what I’m doing the dogs comfort and well being will take priority over everything else. Most dogs benefit from having the opportunity to take a break, lie down, a drink of water or a treat during their groom. Grooming can be overwhelming to any dog but especially to young dogs & seniors, having them stand still and have someone touching them for extended periods of time can cause anxiety in any dog. As I am grooming one on one from a low stress environment I ask that my clients allow 2-3 hours so I have ample time to work at their pace.
